The Complete History Of Blues
The blues is a form of music, the voice can be, instrumental (blues guitar) or both. It uses the "blue" notes, based on a known "minor pentatonic 'scale most of the time, unlike the blues scale.
Blues music from the Afro-American communities in the U.S. derived from the work songs, spiritual songs, field shouts, sings, shouts, and simple, that rhymed ballads. Many aspects of the blues are indicitive of African influence.
The call-and-response aspect of the music came directly from African roots, and there were a lot of lines that would be repeated twice or more. This was later in a line repeating twice and then developed line for the third time around it would be an 'answer'. You can still find the characteristics of early blues in modern-day Music, especially hip-hop.
The term 'The Blues' refers to the "Blue Devils", which means that the spirits or sadness.
The blues guitar plays a strong role in blues music and modern music. There is jazz, rhythm and blues, bluegrass and even rock n 'roll a tremendous impact.
The Original blues of the early 1900's, also known as "poor man's blues" was usually associated with known hard times, the oppression of white people, the cruelty of Police, gambling, economic depression, floods, magic, farming and dry periods. The music was fueled by many grief and depression. Usually inspired by a lost or an overall strategy harsh environment, the text and the sound of the blues guitar.
After the war began to blues songs about relationships and were seen sex. Nor was the humor added to the mixture. Here is a funny example:

The blues originated style instruments from the American South of the time, which were the banjo and the Diddley Bow. This was a home-cooked a stringed instrument that was popular in the early 20th Century. Figures such as Robert Johnson, Charley Patton, Son House and Blind Willie McTell was a part of the delta blues style which used many of finger picking techniques and innovations slide guitar.
Finally, after the Second World War, "Electric Blues" was becoming more popular where the blues guitar was played on electric guitars, as well as the bass guitar. This was mainly in the Chicago area.
Blues music of today has become a multi-cultural genre, with artists playing the blues in every corner of the world. Texas born Stevie Ray Vaughan Set the music world on fire with its modern combination of blues and rock until his untimely death in 1990. Other modern blues artists make a mark are: Friend 'n Fellow, Susan Tedeschi, Robert Cray, Taj Mahal, Charlie Musselwhite, and the North Mississippi Allstars.
The history of blues guitar and poor man's blues is with the culture and many stories of good and bad times. I could go on for days on end part of the history of blues guitar, but Let's Make This 1, so you do not fall asleep fall on me!

On a Blue Evening $8.47 Fans of Dutch violinist André Rieu may be delighted to round out their collections with this unusual item, but the casual buyer looking to sample the music of this latter-day waltz king should be apprised that it’s not really a Rieu disc at all. The subtitle “with André Rieu” gives a better idea of the contents than does the big picture of the violinist/conductor on the cover. Rieu appears here not in a starring role but merely as first violinist of an Oeteldonks Salonorkest, an orchestra providing music for the “Blue Evening” named in the album’s title. This is not a generic blue night, and it doesn’t have anything to do with the blues or being blue. Instead, it’s an annual event, Blue Night in Casino, held in the aforementioned Dutch town of Oeteldonk, which is the name the place usually called ‘s-Hertogenbosch takes on during Carnival. “The oldest function in Oeteldonk is that of mayor,” you will learn from the imperfect but enthusiastic English booklet notes (also given in Dutch). “Ever since Oeteldonk existed, the mayor has been called Peer vaan den Muggenheuvel.” There are photo album shots of dancers and musicians at the festivities, but the central role belongs to the audience also pictured in one of the shots, singing along and swaying. The orchestra plays medleys of old, mostly Dutch popular songs, and the audience sings along with most of them. Rieu and his group take the spotlight for sets of marches and other instrumental selections; U.S. listeners may be intrigued to find “The Stars and Stripes Forever” in one of these. When the audience members don’t know the words, as with “Auld Lang Syne,” they just follow along with “la” syllables. As may be gathered, the whole thing is a pretty interesting slice of European small-town culture and one that would be otherwise hard for those outside the Netherlands to know about short of going there and experiencing it firsthand. Marketing it under Rieu’s name is a bit deceptive, but the confirmed Rieu fan is invited to reflect upon the extent to which his enduring popularity has resulted from the instincts that he developed while playing in down-to-earth venues like this one.
