This may sound stupid … but if I wear sz. 12 …?
in today's clothing sizes. What size would I would say wear in sizes 50's dress? I have heard that clothing sizes are different today than then. I'm not really a dress person. I have two dresses, one given to me by my cousin after she was cleaning her closet and one I bought from Goodwill for Halloween. Both are size 12 The one from goodwill was a fairly recent bridesmaid dress. * Shrug * Also what size is a size 12 … or with respect to M, L, XL? I've seen that on some sites and I'm like uhh dang? The reason I ask, I get married and can not find anything I like in today's styles, but also believe that finding vintage wedding dresses online that I think so cute. I also took my measurements, at least tried, I think I may have done wrong. I do not think my measurements came on 38/31/38? Thank you! Ignore the typos … It's past 02.00 clock, we were online at clothes all night, I should really come to bed:) Is the sound 38/31/38 about right?
1950 Dress sizes are totally different from today. I would simply ignore sizes and measurements (bust, waist and hips) and go by that. By Vintage Clothing, it is best to view them in person and try them on, but if that is not possible to go by the measurements not dress sizes. The sizes are all over the place and M / L / XL sizes either not really relevant.
