Canucks remember, honor Luc Bourdon
Alex Burrows and his teammates on the Vancouver Canucks are just four victories from the hoisting of the franchise first Stanley Cup. Bourdon, a first-round pick of the Canucks, was killed in a tragic way of life 29th May 2008, in a motorcycle accident near his hometown of Shippagan, NB He was just 21 years old.
As the three-year anniversary of the accident approaches, has not forgotten his friend Burrows.

Bourdon played 36 career NHL wins games, all with Vancouver, scoring two goals to go along with a plus-6 rating and 24 penalty minutes.
Center Alexandre Bolduc and goaltender Cory Schneider was teammate of Bourdon's during the 2007-08 season with Vancouver AHL affiliate in Manitoba and remember him fondly.
"In Manitoba, we were still a little bit and it was devastating news," Bolduc said. "I will always remember his sense of humor and how good a guy he was, it was sad because he was such a nice guy -.. It's still pretty sad to this day "
Schneider added: "I can not believe it now for three years, it is quite sad to think what could have been done today.."
The trio immediately pointed to the current Canucks Bourdon sense of humor and his skills with video games, when asked on 10 overall selection in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft reflect.
"He made a lot of jokes and we like to team and get on some guys also -. that was probably the best part." Burrows recalled "He was a great guitar Hero player, he could handle that at 99 percent expert fairly easy with eyes closed "
Bolduc added: "We had Guitar Hero with me (In Manitoba), Schneider and me, he would come and play, which, honestly, for three minutes four hours ago, at the expert level.
"I've never a man so good Guitar Hero to be honest, and we would just sit there and watch him in amazement. We would just get up and be like "Well Luc, I think we go to bed "and he'd still stay up for a play or two hours."
Burrows and Bolduc remember exactly where that spring day In 2008, when she heard the news of Bourdon's fatal accident.
"I drove back from the gym and actually Roberto (Luongo) called at me, told me the terrible news, "said Burrows." I was so, so sad. A truly dark day. "He was such a close friend, good friend and great teammate of mine and of course it is still hard to talk about it. "
Bolduc was in a similar position in the middle of an off-season training when he first heard.
"I remember looking at me TSN, and I began the kind of end, say at the bottom of the ticker:" Narrated accident, Luc Bourdon was on a motorcycle, '" Bolduc remembers. "I asked my friend," Did you just see that or I read something wrong? " I was like, "It can not be."

Bourdon's agent, Kent Hughes, met him as a 15-year-old as he was preparing for the QMJHL draft, recalling how well a child he was.
"He was very industrious, determined child," Hughes recalled Friday. "He has a lot of things kind of behind the scenes I do not think the people knew.
"One of the stories that they have the Weekend when they had his funeral were told was that he offer to put up an anonymous scholarship fund equipment and a variety of other things for people who in New Brunswick required, but never his name on it. "
On Saturday, Bourdon between six people in the intake will be New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame. In Hughes 'Spirit there is no question about the impact on the current Bourdon Canucks about "blue line.
