How much should the bridesmaid dresses look like the wedding gown?
My dress is all over ivory lace and strapless. The bridesmaid dresses I like are red strapless empire waist dresses in a jersey/cotton material. My maid of honor loves it, but will it clash too much with my dress? Does it even matter if it does? I am going to be wearing a red sash to tie in the look to the dresses. What do you think?
I think if you, as the bride, like it, and more importantly, if the bridesmaids like it, then I would go for it. An empire waist is a very flattering look on just about everyone, and the material really doesn’t matter much. If you like it, then it will work.
